Time to Complete

1 - 2 45 minute sessions

Overview

Learners create decision trees and contemplate the possible realities they could inhabit. This activity invites students to reflect on how their decisions determine their experiences while exploring the structure of exponential relationships.

Standards Covered

  • Representing the multiplication rule by drawing a branch diagrams

  • Creating data sets using a branch diagrams

  • Identifying the common factor (base) in a data set representing an exponential function.

  • Determine if a data set represents linear or exponential growth

  • Constructing equations of exponential functions given data sets.
